We built BATHNOIR for that moment — and then we decided to make it visible. Not to the world. To you.
BATHNOIR is a freestanding bathtub machined from high-grade transparent acrylic, with two IP68-certified cameras integrated flush into the inner walls below the waterline. They point inward. They point upward. They capture what you look like suspended in water, lit by whatever light finds you.
The footage goes to the BATHNOIR app — and nowhere else. No cloud. No servers. Your stream, your device, your rules.
This is luxury redefined: not by what you hide in a room, but by what you choose to see.

BATHNOIR is a freestanding fixture requiring a qualified plumber. Installation is the responsibility of the buyer.

NoirWater — Transparent Toilet with Integrated Camera
The same PMMA optical-grade acrylic. The same privacy-first philosophy. A complete transparent bathroom suite. Currently in concept phase — we want to hear from you before we commit to production.
Manufacturing risk. Integrating IP68 cameras into cast acrylic is complex. Integration method may need revision during prototype testing. Optical result may differ slightly from renders.
Timeline risk. 2028 is our target. Hardware projects at this scale routinely run 3–6 months longer. We will communicate clearly if that happens.
Regulatory risk. CE marking and IP68 certification for an integrated water fixture with electrical components requires third-party testing. We have budgeted for this.
What we will not do. Disappear. Every backer gets monthly updates regardless of news. If something material changes, we will say so clearly and offer refunds per Indiegogo policy.

Frequently asked
Is this legal? Can I really stream from my bathroom?
Yes. The system is entirely private — by default, BATHNOIR operates in private local mode: the feed streams only to your device on your home network, with no upload, no broadcast, and no external storage. You may optionally enable authorised external streaming to share content with a third-party platform of your choice — this is always a deliberate action you initiate and can revoke at any time. Privacy mode disables all cameras instantly with one tap.
Will the acrylic warp or yellow with hot water?
High-grade cast acrylic (PMMA) is rated for continuous water temperatures up to 60°C. Final wall thickness will be defined during the engineering and prototype testing phase, to meet structural and regulatory requirements. The material does not yellow with age at normal bath temperatures.
What if the campaign doesn't reach 30,000 €?
Indiegogo's fixed funding model means you are not charged unless the goal is reached. If we don't hit 30,000 €, your pledge is returned in full. The 30,000 € goal funds the initial phase: company setup, supplier qualification, engineering validation, and prototype production. Full-scale manufacturing (estimated at 32,000–58,000 € total) is a subsequent stage, funded through confirmed pre-orders and the results of this campaign.
Does it work with any plumbing?
It connects to standard European plumbing (EN standards). Your plumber will know exactly what to do. We include a full fitting kit and a detailed installation manual.
When will the app be available?
The app will be released to Noir Bath, Noir Suite and Noir Duo backers when the first units ship. It will not be publicly available before that. Lifetime access means all future updates, no subscription, ever.
Can I see a physical unit?
Not yet — the first prototype is what this campaign funds. We will invite backers to a reveal event when the first unit is complete.
